Andy Abrams is the founder and Principal Consultant of Control Dynamix, a design firm that delivers custom energy management and building controls platforms for the commercial and industrial real estate, healthcare, educational and related industries. Mr. Abrams’ practice focuses on applying off-the-shelf technology to develop innovative control and energy management solutions.
Immediately before founding Control Dynamix, Mr. Abrams was an Executive Vice President at Servidyne, Inc. (now SCIenergy), an energy management company located in Atlanta, GA. He held acting roles at Servidyne as Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer, where he led the company’s entry into Energy Management System technology and managed the company’s iTendant CMMS software development team. Prior to that, he worked for Abrams Properties, Inc. and Abrams Industries, Inc. where he led design and construction activities, supported operational efforts for M&A, and developed the company’s strategic focus on energy efficiency.
Control Dynamix develops easy to use solutions to solve today’s complex building and smart grid challenges. The firm creates energy management and control system solutions for commercial, industrial and institutional facilities utilizing software and hardware systems based on the Niagara framework. Clients include leading energy solution providers and equipment manufacturers.
Mr Abrams is a Niagara Certified professional, having the technical expertise necessary to effectively and efficiently design, engineer, and program projects using the Niagara AX Framework.
Mr. Abrams received his MBA in Business Administration (2005) from Emory University, Atlanta, GA and his BS in Electrical Engineering and BA in English (1983) from the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN.
